Book Drive

July 2008, we completed our book drive of over 20,000 reading and learning materials to include a large donation of over 3,000 school backpacks with supplies we received from our partners at Feed The Children Organization. These materials will be distributed to selected schools in Lagos, Ogun and Afikpo in Nigeria. Our partner organization WOMEN'S CONSORTIUM OF NIGERIA (WOCON) is excited to administer the distribution process of these materials. With your support the 20ft container of educational materials is scheduled to arrive at Tin Can Island Port, Nigeria.

One of our recipients, Alhagie Fatty, explained it this way, "From the initiator and donors point of view this is a small token of gesture, but to the recipients in our village, it is a huge one which will benefit generations to come. This particular gesture is like a smile by nature. That is "It never makes a giver poorer and enriches those who receive it"
